The White House

I have an attraction to white houses. It's the pure and simple look that draws me in. I also love how the white makes the garden pop.

Here is a collection of white houses I thought I would share with you. Different coloured trims, doors and fences varies the look.

David Bromley studio collection

My work friends and I couldn't resist the opportunity to visit David Bromley's studio collection being  auctioned by Leonard Joel. The mind boggled as we explored the enormous collection which is housed in an incredibly theatrical building on Chapel Street. The grandness and beauty of the building outshines the true ramshackled existence. Such an extensive collection of not only David Bromley's work but other collectibles. We loved the Danish furniture, Charles Blackman's 'Girl with Cat and Dog', Cherry Hood 's 'Youth', the mini ferris wheel, the Giraffe amusement ride, the 2 metre fibreglass hand and the large French cast iron 'Hotel' sign.

Shop till your drop Bali style

So many talented designers in Bali makes shopping fun. Here are a few hip places I discovered:

Mister Zimi

Mist
If the heat in Bali is a challenge, some threads from Mist will cool you down. Created by Penny Pinkster, the clothing is a mix of beautiful colours and patterns. When Penny was asked in an interview, "In a nut shell what is your philosophy?", she answered "tread lightly, stay calm, be generous and send love". What a lovely sentiment.
