We have just returned from beautiful Bali.
It was pure bliss – lazing in and by the pool, delicious food, tasty cocktails, a spot of shopping and not one scrap of housework/cooking/cleaning /washing to be done for an entire week!!
We stayed at the Villa White House in Seminyak in the Oberoi area. It was perfect for us. A stunning spacious home set on large grounds overlooking rice paddy fields. The interiors were a calming mix of white, grey and pink with pretty Balinese linens and trinkets. The clever Dutch and French owners are renowned for their relaxed but stylish décor. The garden was full of all sorts of treasures which our young daughter loved exploring.
It was so peaceful but only a 10 min walk to the hustle and bustle of Seminyak’s main drag. The villa staff were absolute treasures. They cooked the most delicious meals and wouldn’t let us lift a finger when it came to cooking, cleaning or washing. Unpacking the bags with clean clothing makes the end of a holiday quite lovely.
